Why do we add nosotros/as or vosotros/as ?

Why do we add nosotros/as or vosotros/as ?

Hello,

I would like to  know that in sentences like' Nosotros estamos en Uruguay esta semana' is it essential to write the Nosotros ? Wouldn't starting with estamos itself indicate 'We are'?.Similarly for the other sentence Vosotros estaís aburridos.....the conjugated verb form itself indicates that it is referring to vosotros. Please clarify.

Hola Alka,

we don't actually need the pronouns; as you are saying, the ending of the verb is always going to show who the subject is. However in conjugation lessons we tend to use the pronouns for students in still low levels recognise the pronoun and the ending of the verb.
