Should this not be singular eg. En perfecta condición as we are talking about a book and your hint suggests singular. I lent it to him in perfect condition.

we use it in plural "en perfectas condiciones" 7(we wouldn't say "en perfecta condición) while in English it is usually used in singular "in perfect condition". But it means the same.
