Todavia No ' Question about verb tense

In the lesson  "Using todavía no with El Pretérito Perfecto = not yet"

It looks to me like the helping verb is not in the pretérito perfecto but rather the Present pretérito perfecto.  This may seem like a nit picking question but I am confused by the different names I see for the same tense in different sources.

Hola Charles,

yes, tense names are a bit confusing sometimes. In different sources they are called different names. For this reason we have a space in Kwiziq with a table stating the different names given to all different tenses. For your information, in Kwiziq we generally call the "present perfect" tense: "El Pretérito Perfecto" (bear in mind that in English it is considered a type of "present", but for Spanish people this is a "past" tense).

Here is the link with the table. Have a look.

I hope it is helpful.

Saludos cordiales

Inma
