Uso de Pronombres

I wrote "Él es de Irlanda" and it said that "Él" was incorrect. Is that just a mistake or should I really not use the pronoun?

Your answer is correct using the article. This answer is ticked as correct in the alternatives. It wasn't shown as "you could also say" answers because we ticked as model answer the one not using the article (we tend to omit it), but it's now showing. You can mark yourself as correct for this one!

I believe what you wrote would translate as " He (El) he is (es). See what I mean?
