Could you explain how 'hago' comes to mean 'I am walking.' please. How would one know? Is this an idiomatic usage?

Hi Sherri,
I've always wanted to do the Camino de Santiago, which as you probably know is The Way (the walk) of St.James. If you read anything about the Camino you'll find that people will say, "I'm going to do the Camino". So the hago here from hacer is referring to 'doing' the walk.
Hope this helps a little.
Clara :)

Your answer is helpful for reading and understanding; however, for speaking, the first thing that would come to my mind is to use either caminar or andar. Thank you for your answer, Clara.
