Gerunds are nouns formed from verbs. The "ing" words you are translating here are called present participles. Gerunds & present participles have the same form in English, but they are different in Spanish. Eg. I like dancing=me gusta bailar. I am dancing= Estoy bailando.

We've changed the title of this list and added "present participle". You're right. However, bear in mind that in Spanish we call all -ando and -iendo forms "gerundios" - we don't use the term "presente participio" even if its function is that of that English present participle.
