It helps to note that the translation is sometimes different than what we are used to. Ex. “Volví de Grecia” = I returned from Greece”. But if we add “ya”, as in “Ya volví de Grecia”, we don’t say “I already returned from Greece” but “I have already returned from Greece”. This translation has more to do with English grammar than Spanish grammar.
