We sometimes omit the article when we are talking about things more generally, this is why we are not using "un" here, although it'd also be correct to say "Me ofrecieron un trabajo..."
You could also say for example (not using the article):
¡Por fin tengo trabajo!
I have a job at last (I have work)!
Tengo casa y coche, pero no tengo pareja.
I have a house and a car, but I don't have a partner.
This tends to happen with things that are considered everyday "basic" things like work, house, partner, money, car...
