Mantel is a word stressed on the last syllable. It doesn't have a written accent because as per rules of accentuation in Spanish, it needs to end on a vowel or -n or -s. As it is a different consonant (-l) it doesn't take the written accent. Words that are stressed on the last syllable are called "palabras agudas".
