It seems that de/a goes without the definite articles and desde/hast with definite articles when time is concerned. Is it correct?

Hola Emanuel

Generally speaking, yes. We tend to omit the definite articles with de/a and use them [when necessary] with desde/hasta. But you could also say: "De las diez a las doce estuviste dormido" (From ten to twelve you were asleep)  and that would also be correct (although less used)

Thank you. Could I also use estuviste durmiendo? Do you plan a lesson which would show when active and when passive participles are used. E.g. regarding dormir it seems to me a bit blurred.
