I thought "Es probable que" took the indicative?

Es probable que... takes the present subjunctive. Expressions of this type, i.e "Es + adjective + que ... take the subjunctive, unless they express "certainty" like "Es cierto que Luis es guapo" (It's true that Luis is handsome).
