How to make it clear that you have done a beauty treatment on yourself
Many people manicure their own nails, do a facial / other beauty treatments at home. What is the correct way to convey this without any ambiguity? For example, would you say "Anoche yo misma me hice una manicura en casa"?
This question relates to:Spanish lesson "How to say to have something done in Spanish - mainly beauty and body contexts"

Hola Claire
Yes, you would have to specify somehow that it was you who did it. Using "yo mismo/yo misma" is a good way to clarify this. Or if you are talking about doing your hair, your nails... you could say "Me he hecho la manicura en casa" - that would be interpreted as doing it yourself at home.
