Could you explain 'dime' for me please. Would this be classed as an Imperative? I'm thinking especially of sentences like, 'Dime algo'
Gracias

Hola Clara
Yes, "Dime" if formed by "Di" (tell/say) and "me" (to me), so it is the imperative of verb Decir, which is irregular (we have a group of verb that have an irregular short form in their imperative for tú). Decir -> di
When we add a pronoun to an imperative we need to put it just behind the verb and stuck to it forming one word. "Dime algo" means "tell me something".
Here are other examples with short irregular imperatives plus a pronoun:
Ponlo aquí -> [Pon - lo - aquí] -> Put it here.
Dile gracias -> [Di - le - gracias] -> Tell him/her thank you.
Vente conmigo -> [Ven - te - conmigo] -> Come (yourself) with me
Hope this helps
Saludos :))
