Hello,
It seems to me this is more of a literal translation?
Does it meant rather: "You went the wrong way."?
Or: "You walked on the wrong side of the road." ?
Thank you for your consideration.

Hola Nicole
In Spanish this sentence could mean both things, the literal translation "to walk on the wrong side of the road/the wrong path/take the wrong street" or the more idiomatic "to choose the wrong path" as when someone takes the wrong decision in life. So in Spanish it could have both meanings although in English it'd be said differently.

Either way you understand that sentence, the current translation of "You walked on the wrong way" isn't very good english. Either of Nicole's options seem better translations.
