Estar futuro simple

In the listening exercise is the phrase "para que la casa esté fresquita."

On the Futuro simple page (https://spanish.kwiziq.com/revision/glossary/verb-tense-mood/futuro-simple) I couldn't find any page for "estar" in the future tense.

Is "esté" the 1st person singular of estar in futuro simple?
Or does it come from a different word?

Hola Paul

In "para que la case esté fresquita", "esté" is from the verb estar conjugated in the 3rd person singular (ella, la casa) of the Present Subjunctive. The constructions with para que trigger the subjunctive although you may find a different tense in the English translation, for example the future tense.

Here are two lessons, one for the conjugation of estar in the present subjunctive, and another one for para que + present subjunctive. I hope these help.

Saludos cordiales

Inma
