emphasis before vs. after

Am I correct in understanding that with bueno/malo, putting it before the noun creates more emphasis?

Like " mi padre es un hombre bueno." -My father is a good man.

"Mi padre es un buen hombre." -My father is a [really] good man.

Some adjective express a slightly different quality depending on whether they are placed before or after the noun. This is the case with buen hombre vs hombre bueno. Here is a lesson that explains how certain adjectives have an extra meaning. Have a look
