Conjugate ver in El Pretérito Perfecto (present perfect)
Hola James,
Yes, this is something that sometimes cause a bit of confusion because of the different tense used in Spanish and in English. The reason why this happens is simply because in many cases where in Spanish we use the present perfect ( he ido, has comido, hemos venido...) in English the preterite is used (went, ate, came...) If we used the present perfect tense in English the sentences would sound "wrong/odd". (and we don't really want to encourage bad English in Kwiziq)
I don't know if you have already come across this lesson, but here we talk about this a bit:
As a general advice when you find this difference of tenses in the quizzes, pay special attention to the hint. The hint will tell you which tense to conjugate: "Conjugate the verb ... in El Pretérito Perfecto".
Saludos,
Inma
