Yup. Makes no sense at all. I also watched videos on youtube for "por v. para." Incomprehensible. Pretty soon, I will shelve Spanish. I have gotten to the point where it is a reality that I will not achieve fluency or really go beyond the basic, "Quiere sal?"

the topic "por" and "para" is one of the most challenging topics when learning Spanish for the majority of students. It is something that needs revisiting as you progress in your learning. We have lots of lessons on this topic from A1 to C1. To succeed on this it is necessary to be patient and realize that some parts of Spanish grammar are very different to English and other languages and these parts obviously require more attention, revision and practice. Motivation is of course key.
