Can we use "hasta" for a deadline/time limit?

Necesito el coche hasta el sábado

Tengo que terminar los informes hasta las cinco

Hola Anabelle,

we don't use hasta in that context, no. You need "para" or "antes de", for example:

Necesito el coche para el sábado/antes del sábado.

I need the car for/by/before saturday.

I think you may have misread the information in the lesson -it's saying we use "para" (not hasta) to express deadline.
