Can así que be used to introduce subordinate clauses as well?

For example, would this be correct?

I cleaned the room, so he would be happy.

Limpié la habitacion,  así que él se sintiera feliz

Could así que and para que both be used in this context?

Hola Wylnn

Así que has the meaning of "so..." but in a different way. Así que is not really used as in "so" meaning "in order to..." the way you imply in your sentence:

Limpié la habitacion,  así que él se sintiera feliz.

You need "para que" here.

You could turn it around a bit and use "así que" this way for example:

Yo quería que se sintiera feliz, así que limpié la habitación.

I wanted him to be happy, so (therefore) I cleaned the room.

I hope it clarified it.

Saludos
