________ niebla. (It's foggy)
Hi.I have a question, I use “hace niebla.”but it said to use “hay niebla”...why?l don’t understand
This question relates to:Spanish lesson "Using hace to talk about the weather in Spanish"
Asked 3 years ago
Hola Meiyi
To say it's foggy in Spanish we use "hay" not "hace": hay niebla
It is as if we were saying literally "there is fog"
There are other weather expressions that use "hace" instead of "hay", also followed by a noun, for example:
"hace frío", "hace calor", "hace viento"
But with niebla (fog) we use "hay".
Saludos
