2 questions on Quiz Volunteering in a nursing home

Hola,

In the mornings, we sewed clothes with them,

Kwizbot           Por las mañanas,

You                  En la mañana,

Could you please either let me know about the difference here or steer me to the related lesson.

And:

and that's how our day ended with them.

Kwizbot               y así terminaba nuestro día con ellos.
You             y asi fue como nuestro dia se terminaba con ellos

I was wondering if my sentence is in any way acceptable, or is it “spanglish” and why in either case.

Thank you for your help and Happy New Year to you and your team!

Hola Nicole

1. for "in the mornings" we have this A1 lesson, have a look here.

2. for "and that's how our day ended with them." , yes your sentence would also be correct. It  would be more literal  to "that is how" which we asked in the hint to translate as "así" (for the whole that's how). I would keep ser in the present though as it is saying "that is how", not "that was how":

...y así es como terminaba nuestro día con ellos.

... y así es como se terminaba nuestro día con ellos. (also with "se", more emphatic)

Saludos

Inma
