Would it be wrong if I use "adivinar" for "guess'?

Can I say "Adivino que si" or "Adivino que no"? Thanks.

Hola Michael

You can use "adivinar" as "to guess" but not in this short sentences that we explain in this lesson. For "I guess so/I guess not", you can't say "Adivino que sí" or "Adivino que no."

Some example sentences using adivinar would be for example:

Adivina a quién vi ayer en la fiesta.

Guess who I saw yesterday at the party.

En este juego tienes que adivinar qué carta tiene tu oponente.

In this game you have to guess which card your opponent has.

I hope it clarified it.

Saludos cordiales
