Why incorporate Latin-American usage when the object is to learn conventional Spanish?

Hola GeraldThere are lots of users who have a special interest in knowing the specific usages of the Spanish language in the Latin American countries. Generally, Spanish grammar doesn't vary a lot, but there are some differences that we like to highlight with more focused lessons. Personally I want to learn as much about Spanish as possible

The user chooses which Spanish to learn focus on.  I chose Latin American- I do not want to exclusively learn Peninsular Spanish because it is less useful to me in the US.
