Hi James - you can cancel autorenew in any package and at the end of the subscription you'll revert to free until you decide to upgrade again. You won't lose any data. The longer packages are heavily discounted to reflect the fact that most students don't study languages all year round so those have study breaks 'built in' to the pricing already.
