No tengo or No lo tengo

I thought that ' el billete de tren' had a determiner - 'el'  as opposed to the general 'un billete de tren'. Please explain

Hola Thea

The question is:

¿Tienes dinero para el billete de tren?

It is referring to "dinero", not "el billete", therefore we don't need "lo".

If the question had been this:

¿Tienes el billete de tren?

Do you have the train ticket?

then you need it:

No, no lo tengo.

Sí, lo tengo.

I hope this clarifies it.

Saludos
