missing the point of this lesson

It seems to indicate that:

bien and mal go with estar

bueno and malo go with ser

but when I follow that as a "rule" I get it wrong. What am I missing please? What is the "reason" either goes with whatever?

Hola Garry,

After seeing your recent results, it seems that the confusion you've had is using mal with the verb ser, which is wrong. My advice is that you review the lesson again to reinforce your knowledge, just remember that both mal/bien should always go with the verb estar.

¡Hasta pronto!

Silvia
