Forming the passive with "estar" (pasiva de estado)

Your "tip" box gives just the opposite of what it should be. You say it emphasizes the process and not the result. At the beginning of the lesson, you say it focuses on the final result of the process. Please clarify. Thanks!

I am particularly glad to see this lesson, because I did suggest it to Inma some while ago, after various related items cropped up in a few Kwiziq exercises. We had actually dealt with and practised it in class here in SE Spain: the "ser" form describes an 'action', whereas the 'estar' form just tells us what something looks [or looked] like.

Joan - I believe you are quite correct, there is a mistake in the 'Tip Box' which should be changed to:

"The passive construction conjugated verb estar + past participle of the main verb emphasises the result, not the process".

Hola Joan and David

Yes! That was definitely a typo. It's been corrected.

Estar + participle emphasises the result, not the process.

Gracias y saludos

Inma
