El más menor/ El menor

Hi,

Does the section headed "Bear in mind that their regular superlative forms can also be used" mean that there are two ways to say "The youngest of my brothers is called Juan:

El menor de mis hermanos se llama Juan.

and

El más menor de mis hermanos se llama Juan.

Thanks

Hola Pippy

After that sentence in the lesson there are 4 boxes showing what would be their regular superlatives:

El más/menos + bueno/malo/grande/pequeño...

Those could also be used, for example:

El menor = el más pequeño

El peor = el más malo

etc

Saludos

Hi Pippy,

I think

menor = más joven = menos viejo, or

youngest = most young = least old.

The second sentence would be

El más joven / menos viejo de mis hermanos se llama Juan.

I don't know if that's idiomatic, but it's logical -- I think.

El más menor/ El menor
