Conventional conjugation

Hi,

I have read elsewhere that at least some, if not all, of these verbs can be conjugated as normal.  Although I am not sure of the circumstances.  Is this correct?

I have also seen a list of 100 verbs 'like' gustar.  Is this correct.

Gracias y saludos,

Colin

Hola Colin

Yes, we sometimes use some of these verbs as "normal" verbs in specific contexts. For example, you would conjugate gustar, matching with the subject being the person who does the liking when you talk about "personal attraction":  me gustas mucho.  We have a lesson about this here. The verb interesar could be also used this same way if you're talking again about two people being interested about each other:  María leinteresa a Luis.

Or we can also use gustar de (conjugated as normal) in a very formal way. We have a lesson on this too here.

I don't think you can apply this to all verbs in the list, but if you give us some specific examples you've seen, we can give a more detailed answer and explanation.

Saludos cordiales
