Can nunca also be used here?

So can this same construction be used with nunca, but just not with the same level of emphasis?

This question relates to:Spanish lesson "Using "más + adjective + jamás + participle/subjunctive"

You would think you can, as nunca and jamás are pretty much synonyms, but I'm afraid for this specific meaning and structure nunca doesn't work - at least it doesn't quite sound the same to me...
