Definitive evidence of the existence of water ice on the surface of the moon was discovered a few months ago. Experts believe that the ice has been progressively appearing on its outermost layer, and that this water could be a resource for future exploration expeditions. Learning more about how the ice came to the moon has become a priority and this matter will have to be studied in depth by NASA. However, the Shackleton crater has been analysed by another study and it has been proved that this (one) has remained unchanged since its formation, millions of years ago. As you can see, it is not at all clear that water had existed on the moon or that (it) currently exists given this research.
