Pablo Neruda is one of the most well-known poets of Spanish-speaking poetry of the 20th century. He grew up with his father in the Chilean city of Temuco, which was surrounded by rivers, forests and beautiful landscapes that inspired his first poems. When he was 20 years old, he wrote the most read book in the history of poetry entitled "Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair". During his life, he lived in different countries, where he mingled with other poets of his time. In 1932, he returned to Chile and later he was a senator. Due to his outstanding literary career, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971.
