If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I would not have believed it. This latest PISA report is the worst. Spanish students are stagnating in mathematics, in addition to obtaining their worst results in science. In other words, these two subjects are not our thing. In our center, we have to take advantage of this result to establish more adequate educational policies and try for our students to improve in these subjects. When we have these new guidelines in place, we should do an internal test for the whole school to check that students are progressing adequately. For me, the problem with these subjects is not their content, but how this knowledge is transmitted to students. With just a little bit of collective effort, it is sure that next time we will get better results and our students will be extremely diligent.
