The aurresku is a typical dance of the Basque Country. It is danced as an accolade and is played by a chistulari who plays the chistu, a three-holed flute, and a dantzari, who dances it. This dance is very popular at weddings, tributes and public events in this region. When I was little, I went to dance classes and I learned to dance it fairly well. It's a shame that I no longer remember it like before and that I've forgotten what the steps are, but I really enjoy watching it on the street and also on television. The aurresku is one of the most important folk symbols of Basque culture.
