The most spoken language in Honduras is Spanish, however there are other minority languages that are spoken in this country. Before the Spanish conquest, the most used was the Lenca language, but unfortunately nowadays it is considered extinct, because only between 300 and 600 people speak it. Nowadays, English and Creole are also spoken in the Bay Islands; Garifuna, on the Atlantic Caribbean coast of Honduras; and Sumo in the northeast of the country. How many languages, right? I find it very interesting, since these minority languages provide great diversity to the Honduran population.
